MA-ASTE

The MA-ASTE 2022 planning committee is excited about welcoming you to the beautiful Shawnee State Park, West Portsmouth, OH. We will meet at the Shawnee Lodge & Conference Center Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2022. (Arrive 9/29 Thursday evening. Ending after lunch on Saturday)

Park and Lodge information

Proposal/Abstract Submission

Proposal/Abstracts are due June 30 (the same date as ASTE). Your proposal should include a title and a 150-word abstract. We are accepting proposals for 15 minutes presentations and poster presentations. Submit your proposal at the link provided: PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

Conference Registration

Registration due date is August 1, 2022. Your registration covers the cost of meeting spaces, all meals on Friday, Sept. 30 and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, Oct. 1, and our Friday night social.

Faculty registration is $135

Student registration $100

Meal eating non-conference participant $100

Lodging

There are two options for lodging at Shawnee Lodge and Conference Center.  We have reserved all the rooms in the main lodge and two cottages (which sleeps 7 and must book for a minimum of 2 nights) about a 5-minute walk from the lodge.

To make a reservation call: 740-858-6621 and reserve under the MAASTE conference block.

If you have trouble, contact Bobbi Taylor at 740-801-8685. Bobbie is the reservations coordinator working with us.

Lodging reservations must be made by August 20. All rooms are reserved for us.

Graduate Students – Patricia A. Obenauf Graduate Student Research Presentation Award

Eligible graduate students should consider applying for this travel award to the International ASTE conference in Salt Lake City. For more information see the link to the information on the MA-ASTE site: OBENAUF AWARD
