Contributed by Xavier Fazio

Below is a new book publication from ASTE member, Professor Xavier Fazio, Brock University, titled Science Curriculum for the Anthropocene, Volume 1: Complexity, Systems, and Sustainability Perspectives (2022).

This volume, the first of a two-volume set forthcoming in 2023, provides a foundation for future research and development in a science curriculum. Drawing upon complexity and systems theories, this book provides a framework for science curriculum-making that explores the socio-ecological causes of our environmental crises in the Anthropocene. The hope is that the framework can inspire and motivate researchers and push the boundaries of science curriculum theory and practice, and to provide a refreshing look at science curriculum as a lever for positive change amidst our global trajectory in the 21st century.
